Thumbs up 1/24 Hasegawa 240Z 1971 Safari Rally Winner?

Hello fellow AF members,

I have been eyeing the release of this kit for a while:

http://www.hlj.com/product/HSGHR8

It is now listed as "In stock" in HLJ.

I know Fujimi has one in 1/24 scale but it is relatively hard to get that one nowadays. This is why I want to get the Hasegawa one.

I know it is a little bit early, but I want to know has anyone in here bought this kit already? If yes, how is the quality?

I would like to see if it is worthwhile to get this one over the Fujimi one.

Thanks in advance for any answers and yes, I have tried the search feature already...

Winston

Can't say that I've seen either kit, but if both Fujimi and Hasegawa put out a kit of the same car, I'd get the Hasegawa, no question at all. Hasegawa makes good car kits.

Best exampe I can think of is the Ferrari 348. The Fujimi kit is just as bad as their notorious F355- the Hasegawa kit is terrific.

I've received mine already, very nice kit indeed.

Details are nice and crisp and everything seems to be accurate at first glance. Decals are good quality.
Only downer is it's a curbside.

If you like, I can try to take some photos of box contents tonight.

BTW, search feature wouldn't bring this one up, the kit was only released in Japan early November and mine just arrived from HLJ on Tuesday

Thanks Ray for offering to take pictures. I think your comments are good enough for now. I can find pictures from here too but they are not too clear:

I think I am going to get this kit.
