Hidden VIn

I am looking at a 1972 442 W-30. The car is Saturn Gold. When you pull the carpet up the interior floors look like dark metallic green. I am concerned the car may have had the body switched. The drivers door still has the blue tag on it with the right vin. The tag is old looking. I can't find any signs of Saturn gold on the main body (Looking in 1/4 windows, ect). I need the location of just one of the hidden vin locations. I have read there is one behind the heater box. That one would be no good. I am not pulling the heater box; like the owner would let me anyway. I know it is on the frame somewhere. From the little info I could find it may have changed year to year and have been in different locations for Olds, Buick, Pont., ect. I know on later model Fords (Mustangs) there was different under hood colors. Could overspray from the factory appear to be a completely different color? Any help with this is apperciated. When I did a total resto on a Duster years ago I found several locations the vin was stamped.

I did find the VIN and it does match. I guess the difference in color must just be the way the overspray hit the car from the factory.
