Exhaust Question????
I want to get a Custom Cat-Back for my car. I am trying to make it a straight 3" pipe with just dual tips. I was going to see if anybody nows how much price wise is the difference between custom cat back and a like a Borla cat back. Other thing is what would happen if I dont put a muffler and it would be just a straight pipe that would bend like Y and then it would go to dual tips. Is the car going to sound wearied or is just going to be loud. Would you guys recommened this. I am just trying to save some money and get more air flow.
Thank You |

Re: Exhaust Question????
If you have 3" pipes without a muffler, its gonna be loud as all hell. If you get custom, I suggest buying 2 mufflers that you like on ebay or somewhere cheap, then taking them to a shop and telling them what you want. If you get the mufflers for $40 or $50 each, then with $200-$250 for the catback, you are looking at $350 or less...probably less. Borla the cheapest I've seen it for is $550(i think), and then you have got to pay shipping, and to get it installed (if you aren't doing it yourself)...so $650-$900 depending on where you buy it and get it put on. Borla probably will sound better, but borla is only 2.8" There are plenty of threads about this, so plus do some reading, as this gets asked quite quite often. It is a personal decision you have to make.
