building and engine

I want to know what parts i need to build an engine form a bare block. I was thinking of a stoked 351 or a 390. I also wanted to know th price for each part as well.

Building an engine.

Go with a 351. The 390 is just a giant paper weight. Parts are cheaper for a 351 as well. And for your money the dollar to horsepower ratio will be much better with the 351. Check summit racing for some stats on a built 390 and you will find they arent much better than a 302 or a 351 but you will spend alot more money on a 390. Unless your going to be racing alot a 390 just isnt worth it. I have a 390 sitting around that I was going to put in a Cougar but opted out of it because of the costs involved. Good luck with the build.
