Where to find Motor?

where can i find an MR2 3SGTE? i found some celica ones, but what's involved with making this work in a 92 Turbo MR2?

where do you guys get your JDM engines and whats average cost?

Wink

USDM are hard to come by from what i have researched. But you can find JDM motors practically anywhere. Try Japan Domestic Motor Inc. and let me know what you find. Also just try a search engine on the internet.

Re: Where to find Motor?

There are a number of differences (depending on the year). Just by putting in the enigne in the rear, your coolant hoses/locations will be different.
The intercooler is in a different spot. Not sure offhand what else.

Re: Where to find Motor?

the selling it to me said its easy and he has one in his car. he says the only diff is crank pulley. but looking at it i would have to move the powersteering, alterantor, hoist hook, crank pulley water hoses etc....just wanted to know what else. he said its a 1993 but i haven't seen it.

this i frustrating me. i feel like getting a nissan again. i have no friends in the mr2 circle. i know of guys but none personally ...at least not in this country. all my mr2 friends are in the caribbean where they have all the goodies at thier disposal. hard top right hand drive gen III's and everything else.

www.mr2oc.com

Huge local board for you there. I met about 20 mr2 pals in my area from that site.

There are tons of places to get an mr2 3sgte (tranny, ecu, clip blahdy blah)

Just do a search, here are a few off the top of my head.
