Going to attempt a rear lip off an accord

I went to the junkyard and bought two lips, an 87 si and a 92 accord lip both being front ones. The 87 si lip is on now and awesome looking. But the accord ones is sitting in my garage so this next weekend, I'm going to attempt to put in on my rear bumper. I put it up against it and it's much longer than what you'd think it'd be. So I'm going o cut the center of it, move the two pieces side by side till the ends meet up, make a line, cut both and join the two pieces. Sounds good?

Or should I go the other route and melt the lip, mold it to the bumper and just cut of the ends? But how would you melt the rear lip to where it'll move?

But in the end, this is gonna be great!

Its not what you asked,but here is a 92 accord front lip on a 90 civic hb:

When I picked up the accord lip,I also picked up a 92 integra front lip,been meaning to try and fit it to the rear,just too sorry to get around to doing it..

I trimmed the ends and top and bottom of the corners. I used the center mounting hole in lip with the center mounting hole in bumper.the rest of the mounting holes didnt line up,used the lip holes to drill new holes in bumper one at a time,while puting the clip/nuts? what ever there called, before moving to the next one to make sure its lined up.When I got to the corners i trimmed the upper and lower of the lip,that really doesnt make sense but before i trimmed the corner cross section was like this:" [ ",after i trimmed the corners,(where the bends are) all thats left is: " l ",but its not noticable unless you look under the lip.It may not make sense,but if you want to try it,I can stick the camera under the bumper and take a pic.

i still havent put on my 90 teg lip yet cuz it has to be cut as well so i think theres gonna be fibreglassing involved too

Thinking about it, I might just line the end of the lip up to the left side of the rear bumper so it's flush, then cut it where it meets the exhaust pipe hole in the bumeper. Then move the other end over till the right end is flush with the right side and cut on the other side of the exhaust hole so when it's all bolted on, it'll be clean with no cut lines anywhere on it. I think that would be better than cutting it in the center like i said before.
