euro lights

Ok, from what im seeing, the lihghts are 3 parts, the crhome housing, the red part and the clear lens. Is there any way of modifying a stock taillight by adding the clear and red parts? Are there places that make custom ones?

Re: euro lights

Like... change where the red parts and clear parts are? Sure there is a way... What I'd do is remove the old lens, make a mold of it out of clay. Then using a thin clear plastic sheet and glue, make partitions where you want the lens to change colors. Use some sort of castable plastic in the desired colors(you can probably buy clear and color it using a dye of some sort), and pour it into the molds you made. I've never done it, but that is how I'd attempt to do it if I ever had the desire.
The only problem is you'd have to change the shapes of the light bulb housings so the correct parts light up at the correct times. That is much more difficult, I'd recommend using fiberglass and reflective paint for that.

Re: euro lights

i was thinking more laong the lines of shaping new bulb housings and chroming them and adding the separate red lense and make a clear lens cover...like the real ones are.
