Gas smell inside van
I have a '97 Transport and the odd time I get a gas smell inside the van after putting gas in. I'm thinking the charcoal cannister but thought I would check in here first. TIA.

Good point! Tha'ts exactly what happened to ours too. An 'O' ring on the engine side of the filter had deteriorated (or was damaged at installation) and was allowing a small amount of gas to drip. The filter was wet and the gas around it would evaporate slowly. Dripped more when the van was stopped due to the fuel pressure in the system. |
