Re: can i turbo it with grand natinal turbo?
If you are good with fabricating parts such as motor/tranny mounts, have a automotive performance parts store to get an adapter plate for the fwd tranny, willing to possibly get a custom exhaust, good at wiring for sensors on the 3.8 turbo not on the 3.8, can get a correct computer, and possibly the speedo might be different.
It's doable if you know what you're doing around cars.
If you had an '86-'87, it would have been significantly easier...The GN Turbo is actually classified as the turbo 231ci, which is the same size as 3.8 liters. However, it is different than the 3800, found in years '88 and after. If you're really lucky, you might be able to find a carbureted 231 turbo, which doesn't require the extensive computer sensory stuff, but still needs electrical modifications for the ignition, ect.
It won't be easy, if thats what you were hoping.
