oil wieghts ?

I was reading the owners manual for our 05 elantra GT hatchback and it showed 2 diffrent oil weights to use, = 10w40 and 20w 40, i am guessing 10w for winter 20 w for summer? any input appreciated

best to reread the owners manual... the oils are formulated for certain temps. and all the newer models are going to the lower viscosity oils. I live in the midwest and for most all conditions here, I would use 10w40 ... Later Mark.
