Scion xB goes down with wayy to much style

On my way home from my internship today and while driving to route 3N i saw a maroon/Purple Scion xB(Xtra Boxy??)..It was pretty pimped out with the standard flashy rims and it had two fireball vinyl decals on the side.... It also had a huge HIN(Hott Import Night) on the liftgate window......I switched over to the other lane to make sure it wasnt the usual 40+ over the hills guys who i usually see piloting these fugly things..I got lucky and it was a freaky mo-hawk dude around 18-24...I made sure to give him a mean stare as i drove by him we both caught the red light near the highway ramp and he pulled up beside me

I revved my peppy 6-cylinder and sure enough i enticed him to rev his VVT-I equiped 4-banger.....The light turned green and i instantly got a pretty got lead on him...I shut it down before i hit 70MPH(70MPH on a 35=NO NO) He did the classic ricer-flyby as he sped past me with the the bird flipped.....I chose to not pruspue the asshole and drove happily back home'

Wow you beat a scion xb. You know most people dont upgrade those for speed, but for flash right. i dont think he was doing a typical ricer flyby as much as him pissed off that you were all happy you beat a scion

Little off topic but curious as to why Ford would make a fairly large (3.7l?) v6 that only has 150 hp. Even if thats 150 to the wheels it seems very underpowered for the size of the engine. Unless it maybe has much higher torque figures?

Oh yes it has a fairly powerful rating of 215 foot Lbs of torque..As to why Ford decided to put only a measly 150HP in the base Mustang is quite a mystery and a shame.....Even back in 1998 Base Eclipses and Celicas could tear up V6 Mustangs...The main killer is its weight(3100 pounds BTW) and it has little to no mid-range power(thing doesnt come to life til 4-5K RPM....It does have a nice sweet spot near 3-4K RPM..if iam travelin at 25-30MPH and i decide to floor it the RPM'S shootup and iam instantly at a good crusiing speed of 55-60MPH....The only cars i can beat are practically the crappiest Geo's and Hyundais and iam pretty sure a Kia or Base Civic DX could give me a run for the money

cause its a crappy engine! actually by todays standard V6 its still a crappy engine. Its a SOHC that makes 210 hp. and its a 4.0, WTF? the 3.5 on the 350Z makes 285. the Maxima makes like 275, the oldder maxima made like 250. most V6 today are making approx 240 hp minimum. so why does ford not give a hoot and still produce undercompitenet V-6s??? cause they can, cause they spend all thier effort on maxxing out thier signiture V8, thats why!

That was what I was thinking. I mean... My 18 year old car with a 2.5l v6 is rated at 160hp stock.. what excuse does ford have for this?

Even the 2005 Mustang V6 only makes 210 hp. Same as before. That's pretty bad. And the weight is now 3300 lb. Anybody considering a new Mustang needs to get a V8, it's not much more.

The new RL 3.5L V6 makes 300 hp The next best thing to the M3's I6.

i can run faster than an xB. if it was a tC, i'd be impressed, but a tC should walk a v6 stang any day.

You don't even need a tC, my old Pentium 1 PC would walk a V6 stang...on a leash.
