Can I keep my intake resonator in? will it affect anything?

I just purchased an aem short ram intake and I disconnected the intake resonator like the directions said. I noticed a loss in torque but better sound. does anyone keep thiers on? what will it affect if i keep it on?

Basically if you keep it on it will be quieter. Torque movement up the powerband should be so miniscule that you'd barely even notice it.
