What do you want for your car?

As some of you may know I'm in the process of starting a company (Deviant Motorsports) that makes fiberglass, carbon fiber, and kevlar parts, focusing on 4th gens and then expanding to other makes/models. What I need if feedback, the following is a list of products I plan on offering to start off with. I need to know what your opinions are on these products and what you would like to see in addition to these things. All of the following can be made in Fiberglass, aluminized fiberglass (commonly called silver carbon), kevlar, carbon/kevlar hybrid in black/red, black/blue, and black/yellow, and carbon fiber. Products

88-89 hatch - three lips and two side skirts designs
88-89 crx - three lips and two side skirt designs
88-89 4 door - three lips and two side skirt designs
90-91 hatch - three lips and two side skirt designs
90-91 crx - three lips and two side skirt designs
90 - 91 4 door - three lips and two side skirt designs

Console with cussioned arm rest and two cup holders that fits up flush with dash.

Lip for stock spoiler - Makes the stock hatch spoler have a slight turnup on the end.

Door sill covers

Gauge hood covers

Speaker Pods for door that fit into the space for factory grill

Speaker Pods for kick pannel

Head light eyelids - 4 differnt designs

Mirror covers - inside and outside rear view mirrors

Gas Door cover

Any suggestions or recomendations for additional products? I will also be doing custom designs for anyone who wants. Prices are not set yet but will be competative to other products on the market. I will also be able to ship world wide. Fiberglass items will come primered and ready to paint.

Here are some of the samples of the specialty composits such as carbon fiber, carbon kevlar, and aluminized fiberglass. These are in order from least expensive to most expensive with the exception of carbon/kevlar hybrids they are all the same price, no matter the color.

Aluminized Fiberglass is fiberglass with aluminum woven into it for a highly reflective silver surface.

Kevlar is most commonly known for its use in bullet proof vests. It is a very and very abrasion resistant composite. Yellow in color.

Cabon/Kevlar hybrids come in three differnt colors- black/red black/blue and black/yellow. It is carbon fiber and colored kevlar woven together. Very strong and light weight.

Everyone knows carbon fiber, its the glory material for "the look" in automotive performace. Extremely strong and light weight.

I will not be offering complete bumpers at the time, but plan to in the future depeding on how well this venture does.

Also if you are willing to offer parts I need to make molds from, you will recieve a discount on parts. IE If I needed a mold for a cluster hood from a 90/91 you could send me cluster hood, I would make a mold of it, and send it back to you unharmed in the exact conditon you sent it to me and I would return it with a money order reimbursing you for your shipping cost along with a cupon for a certain percentage off or even maby a free product.

Now its your turn, tell me what you want to see, stuff that I'v overlooked. I know alot of people are wanting carbon sunroof covers, and I will be working on getting those also. Hoods and fenders are not on the list because they are readily available on the market, I will however be working on hoods and fenders for 4 doors as I have had many requests because of lack of aftermarket support. If you would like a hood that could be arranged though. I am however thinking of offering carbon hood covers, it would be a one layer of cabon fiber that would be glued to your stock hood. It would offer nothing but looks, but thats all that some people want, and it would cost a fraction of a solid carbon hood. Anyway Let me know some feedback and tell me what you want to see.

Re: What do you want for your car?

You are on to something big there my friend. Glad to see that your starting a company for us poor 4th geners.

Here's a few ideaa and they would sell well:

-Center consoles for use hatchbacks and 4 door owners. I would like to see it similar to the rare center piece most of us can't get our grubby little hands on.

-How about some rear speaker pods for us hatchback owners (carbon fiber would be so nice) Go a little different than the actual rare ones.

- Maybe a rear lip for the bumpers. Shoot why not the whole ground effects kit package. Make one similar to the JDM one but will fit ours and we can find a way to mount it.

Good luck SilentChamber!

Re: What do you want for your car?

I will be making rear lips, you can buy the front lip, rear lip, and side skirts seperately or you can buy them all together and it will be a little cheeper. There is a lip styled after the J's style front lip that is more of a front spoiler type lip, A lip with a small turnout spoiler on the bottom, and a completely flat one. There are two side skirts one that is flat and one that has a slight turnout that matches the J's style one and the one with the small turnout.

I didnt think of rear speaker pods but I will see what I can come up with.

The consoles are going to be styled after the teg ones that people modify to fit, but I'll see what I can do about replicating the SiR consoles that your talking about.

The good thing about the SIR console piece is that it would be easier to make since the whole integ look-alike console will be longer and bigger to produce. You could sell the SIR console cheaper too since they are kinda small.

And do incorporate cup holders into both. I would only buy them if they had that. Everyone can symposhize with me too!

Re: What do you want for your car?

id like to see what the lip for the rear spoiler would look like..

id be interested in a lot of these things, id definitely buy a few if u were to make them

theres one piece i was planning on buying from someone else that made their own carbon fiber products, but i was never able to get it - a carbon fiber fuel pump cover to replace the metal one..it would look good for people with stripped interiors like myself..would u make one-off parts like this?

Re: What do you want for your car?

door sills. the part at the bottom of the door opening that the carpet is stapled to when stock.

door pillars. on the outside of the car, between the two side windows. the piece on the door, and the piece thats on the frame and covers the rear side glass hinges.

gas door

SiR spoiler WITH LED

side mirrors. with the control stick to adjust them, and the plastic bezel that goes around the control stick.

door handles. i know this is extremely difficult. but even if all you made was the outer part, and left the actual handle stock, it would be awesome.

any interior pieces. i hate the texture in the 4g interior with a passion. any pieces in there would rock in CF. headliner, all the pillars, the door panels, the rear quarter panels. damn, now that im imagining it, i want the entire interior to be CF

Re: What do you want for your car?

I have door sill covers on the list, these will fit on top of your stock ones and attach with glue, that way you dont have to go though the trouble of removeing all the staples and restapling it to the new one and all that.

Same thing with gas door.

SiR spoiler... I'm going to attempt that with my own car, making a mold of something like that would be very complex, but I'm definatly going to be attampting it.

Side mirror- The parts that make the mirror move and attach to the controle stick on the inside is all very complicated and I dont think I'v be able to replicate it. But I will offer carbon fiber (or any other material you want) covers for the mirrors. I will add inside mirror bezel to the list though, thanks for that idea. I'v also added door handle covers to the list. I could make interior peices but due to the way they mount and such most of the pieces would just be covers that would slip over your factory interior pieces. The door pillar outside trim has been addeed to the list.

What about pillar guage pods that are made specificly for 4th gens? Or panels that would fit into your glove box to mount gauges in?

Re: What do you want for your car?

the aluminized fiberglass is done in the same mannor as regular fiberglass and has the aluminum woven into it from the supplier. Its really nice stuff and the price is not much more than regular fiberglass.

Re: What do you want for your car?

CF moldings around the whole car on the trim would be sweet as hell!

Re: What do you want for your car?

nice, I had also thought about offering a differnt trim that would fit more flush and not stick out like the stock trim, but would install the same and you wouldnt have to modify your car. Exterior trim added to the list.
