88 4.3 starter

any tips on how to get out? im helping a friend and have not seen it yet, but he says some suspension might need to be undone, or is my friend just stupid.

I've changed the starter on my 88 5.0 a few times you don't need to undo anything to get to the starter or to remove it but it is a tight fit. If your starter is located in the same position then you should have no problem as I have fat hands and arms.
