Talking check engine light on...

hello guys how are y'all?
my check engine light came on...brought it to autozone and it said, something about a evaporative emissions vapor leak(big leak) any one of you ever had a problem similar to this...if so can anybody help me please. just got my car 8 months ago and love it. its a '98 sl. no mods, DOHC engine (except for a matrix filter that's all)

the most common reason is that multiplug off the mass meter comes off near the air filter housing Just check that first.

probably something to do with the evaporation canister, i dont even have mine in my car, i took it out and plugged up the top of the throttle body where it connects to with a vacuum plug.

did you fill the car wit gas whan it was runing or not put gas cap on all the way this it what wazs happen most of the time whan people would bring in the car in to me at the dealer.

humm, dunno, haven't try removing the bottle yet. will that make hurt fuel mileage or something like that?

the light just came on about 3 days after i have filled the tank. i bought a new cap too the first time it came on...this is the third time it comes on...just as i was coming down the highway..pum..check engine light on...
