mounting boost gauge

ok i got a megan racing 52mm boost gauge and i want to mount it onto my steering i guess hub in front of my speedo

I've seen a pod before but i cant find it now I am still looking but if anyone knwos where i could get one then please post the link, it fit behind the wheel and the gauge would be between the tach and speedo

if i cant find the pod, then I'll probably just use a mounting kit from like Greddy or someone

Re: mounting boost gauge

hmmm iv always liked the idea of putting them in the air vent or down in the empty space below the radio. Or even across the dash by the glove compartment.

Re: Re: mounting boost gauge

i would mouth on the a-pillar or steering colum, not for looks but for function, its easier to see you dont want to take your eyes off the road to look down my your radio to see how much boost your making, think about if its in you steering colum or a-pillar you just have to glance to see it and bearly take your eyes off the road, just my 0.02

Re: mounting boost gauge

yea i see your point, but its really not relavent. SInce you would take your eyes of the road to adjust your radio or what not anyway, so y not put gauges there, and a quick glance is way shorter than what you would be doing to adjust your radio?? Boost is the only one that really matters(that you may look at most often)....as far as the other gauges just check there peak output when your done driving to see if there is any abnormal problems.

ya i'm in florida too no A/c soo the vents are for the most part worthless

I guess no one has a link for the steering column pod, i think i'll just og along with my plan B using a dash mount to place it there

Re: mounting boost gauge

my a/c was taken out and i don't drive my car when i need heat so i basically never use the fans.. so i'm gonna put 2 or 3 pods on my a pillar and 1 or 2 in the air vent space but it all depends on what i need. (boost, oil, air/fuel...) i'd rather have them on the a pillar cause its on one of the closest lines of view to the road (the best would probably be right above the speedo but i'd find that distracting)
