If you get a Pacesetter for a G20 it will fit. They are OK. Coating or not doesn't really matter.

Well it does look nicer but the coating you usually get on headers really does nothing for performance. They claim it's a heat resistant ceramic but it doesn't really do anything about the heat like a true ceramic coated header would. I.e. Swain white lightning coatings.

I wanted to buy my HS header uncoated so they could send it to Swain for that coating but they wouldn't sell it that way. Oh well no biggie I'll get my turbo bits decked out in swain coatings.

Ya, Pacesetters are known to crack and are also said to be a direct ripoff of the Hotshot header.

This may be true in some cases. But ceramic coating won't stain like (ironically) stainless (i.e.- the infamous rainbow bends and fingerprint). Though not as effecient as Swain, it still will insulate the tube which in turn speeds exhaust velocity. Considering this is probably the best on the streets without going through Swain, I'd say it's definitely worth the money to go HS ceamic. Seeing as how they have 4 generations of header design tells me they were continuously looking to better on the older design. This and word of mouth (which there is a lot of) should be more than enough to see that HS is the obvious choice.

I heard the complete opposite. There are a few guys on here that have had their HS headers crack. As far as the Pacesetter goes, it is a copy of an earlier HS generation header, and is much cheaper and more mass produced, but I haven't heard of any cracking. The black "shipping" paint coat cracks off, but I have not heard much about the actual header cracking.

There is a thread on an HS cracking or the lower flex pipe actually, just recently titled POS HotShot Header here:

I've heard the Pacesetter breaks more often on the Hotshot because it doesn't even come w/ a flexpipe which causes more stress and bending. The flexpipe problem is most likely a problem w/ the motor mounts.

Heh..this is why I asked the question cuz Ive been hearing two different stories...people saying HS cracks, and that their HS is fine. Soo maybe we could get some data? Or someone that has this kind of data?

Both are subject to cracking under certain circumstances but I would go w/ the Hotshot because they are more "improved on" than the Pacesetter.

If you're going to get a 4into1 get the AEBS header. Better than teh HS in some aspects but it has its down sides like difficult installation and the fact that it hangs lower than the lowest part of car.

Hmmm...you make a good point. Do all these new aftermarket headers hang lower than OEM? Could this be a problem of hitting it, especially when the car is lowered?

I know the 4-1 AEBS header does. Excellent header BTW. I'm not so sure about the Stillen 4-1. All the 4-2-1 headers I know about are OK and don't hang any more than the stock pipes.
