Idle Problems No Check Engine Or Vacume Leaks.
OK IVE HAD MY SWAP IN MY 99 HATCHBACK FOR A WHILE NOW AND IT KEEPS ON DOING THE SAME THING JUST NEVER FIXED IT. HERE'S MY SET UP:
*SIR BLOCK OUT OF A 94 AUTOMATIC WITH 33K *GSR HEAD PORTED *SKUNK 2 INTAKE MANIFOLD *TYPE R VALVES *CROWER TITANIOM RETAINERS *SKUNK 2 DUAL VALVE SPRINGS *OBD1 INTEGRA THROTTLE BODY **HAVE TODA SPEC C CAMS BUT NEVER PUT THEM IN RIGHT NOW RUNNING STOCK GSR'S(SELLING THE TODAS THOUGH ASKING 900 BRAND NEW IN ORIGINAL BOX WITH SPEC SHEET *HEAD IS MILLED TO RAIS COMPRESSION FROM I THINK 10.4:1(SIR STOCK) TO 11.5(SUPPOSEBLY) *TYPE R HEADER JDM(NEED THE EXHAUST DONUT IF ANY ONE HAS AN EXTRA ONE jdM *THERMAL EXHAUST PIPE WITH APEXI MUFFLER *MSD SCI WITH REV LIMITER AND EXTERNAL COIL) *c&r RADIATER *JUN fLY WHEEL *ACT STAGE 3 CLUTCH OK THATS WHAT MY ENGINE SETUP IS NOW THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN I FIRST TURN IT ON IT REVS AT 3000 RPM'S THEN DROPS BACK AMD FORTH TO 1500 THEN SETTLES AT AROUND 2100 HELLA HIGH, MY STOCK TACH IS OFF BY 200 RPMS. I HAVE NO VACUME LEAK AND NO CHECK ENGINE. i WAS TOLD BY A FRIEND THAT IT MIGHT BE THE IDLE CONTROL WAS VALVE ON THE GSR OBD1 THROTTLE BODY, AND SOME ONE ELSE TOLD ME IT COULD BE THE VALVE BEHIND THE INTAKE MANIFOLD WICH IS ALSO THE IDLE CONTROL VALVE. IF YOU MIGHT KNOW WHAT IT IS CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I DONT HAVE HELLA MONEY RIGHT NOW SO I NEED TO NARROW THE PROBLEM DOWN THANKS ALOT. IF THIS QUESTION HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED I COULDN'T FIND IT (COULD BE CAUSE IM NEW TO THIS MESSAGE BOARD)

These are the cars i own and tune 91 eclipse gsx automatic no real mods yet just got it 99 honda civic HB *SIR block *Port and polished GSR head(Fully built) *Teins SS Damper *five lug *cusco LSD in Si tranny with Type r Final Drive *skunk 2 intake manifold, cams and gears If you want to know more just ask i have alot of mods on my civic +But dont need help with my civic i need help with my DSM. First time ive owned a turbo anything |
