Lightbulb Driver Side Door Creaks

I have a 2003 Grand Marquis and the driver side door creaks when it opens or closes. I have tried lubricating everything associated with the door hinges, but it still makes a creaking sound. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Wow, a car only a year old shouldn't be making noise opening and closing door.

If car was 10 years or older, I would suggest looking at hinge pins. They will wear over time an need replacement. Groan noise is often accompanied by door hanging slightly lower than it should at latch side.

To replace, use dremil tool to grind off head and punch to knock hinge pin out. Replacement pins and brass bushings are available at dealer.

Re: Driver Side Door Creaks

How about taking it to the dealer? The car is only one year old, unless you've driven a million miles it should be covered under factory warranty.

Door Creak

Thanks for everyone's help. The dealer is going to replace the door hinge.
