British royalty vs. Italian Stallion

Here is a tough one:

Aston Martin V12 Vanquish S vs. Lamborghini Murcielago. Tell me what you guys think regarding the performance, quality, image and etc....
I would probably opt for the Aston if I had to pick one...

Murcielago. Much cooler-looking, more performance-oriented demeanor.

Also, keep in mind that Ferrari = stallion; Lamborghini = bull.

Well normally I would say Italian but ze germans have audified Lambo a bit much so my vote goes to the Vanquish.

If the Gallardo would've been considered my vote could be different although it too has some audified driving dynamics.

PS.Kman is correct about the bull and the stallion comment.

About the Stallion thing, you're right. I thought it would sound fancy. SORRY!

Re: British royalty vs. Italian Stallion

Make a comparison between the 612 Scaglietti and the Vanquish; problem solved.

Re: British royalty vs. Italian Stallion

Aston Martin Vanquish V-12 S has a modifyed V-12...HP rises from a pitiful 460HP to a much more respectable 520HP....I believe it goes 0-60 arouund 4.1-4.5s....The Murci goes 0-60 in 3.9-4.0s

How the hell is 460 HP pitiful? And how is an additional 60 HP so much more respectable?

The Aston is a classically styled front engine GT, on par with the Ferrari 575M Maranello (well, not exactly on par. The Ferrari outperforms the Aston in just about every category and can be had with a traditional manual transmission as well as the gimmicky paddle shift box). As an MR exotic the Lamborghini is really quite far removed from the comparison.

In reality, the only car being built in Britain that really sits in the same genre as the Murciealago is the Ascari KZ-1.

Also, Noble is planning to enter this price and luxury as well as performance market with the proposed M14.

However, the British sports car makers are at their best when building small roadsters and coupes with rabid torque and power and brutish styling. Cars that slice into wussified sportsters like the Porsche 911 (sorry Porschephiles, but the 911 became weak-sauce after the 993 generation) with glorious aplomb.

Cars like the....

Noble M12 GTO

MG X-power SV-R

TVR Sagaris

Ultima GTR

Morgan Aero 8

Pretty stout list, actually.
