help me please!! been out of servise for 4 weeks!

i was racing on saturday well first of all im 19 years old i live 3 hours from dallas in a town called marlin. i own a 1998 firbird v6. i have painted the interior myself and so far it's beutiful!! but like i said i was running my car on a saturday a couple weekends ago and after i stomped a 3000gt (na) i parked again and waited for someone else to come and challenge me. well a white saturn twin cams passed by with his weed eater playing with his trottle. well i was pulling out the parking lot to chase him down but when i stepped on the gas it started to hesitate like if it was running out of gas, eeekkk as i looked at the gas guage reading E and remembering its been there for a while i quickly got to the nearest gas station and put in a qurter of gas. well when i pulled out agin it kept doing it, not worrying about it i followed the saturn thinking it will take a little time for the fuel to kick in or something i got a red light with the saturn and it worked fine. as i left him behind and got another red light i tried getting on the pedal but it started hesitating again. i drove home with it doing this along with the service engine soon light flashing at me. well i soon took it to autozone for a diagnostic test and they told me that cylinder #6 was missfiring well this had happened before like 5 to 6 months ago and it was the same cylinder well i replaced the burned spark plug wires and spark plugs and it worked but this time it didn't thinking it was a dirty fuel filter(replaced not even 5000 miles before this happened) replaced it again. when this didn't work i poured in some cheveron techron stuff and that didn't work i just got through with lowering and checking the fuel tank and pump screen and it was clean as a whistle. (who says whistles are clean though) I am crying with my flaming chiken. someone please help. formula!! oh and it doesn't do it when its cold like if i get up in the morning and drive it for like 10 min. it will be fine i can floor it and everything but after that im afraid of going up a hill or an on ramp.

my v8 camaro done that and i had a burnt out plug wire. but if you have replaced the plugs and wires, you may want to disconect your battery, let it set for 10 minutes and reconnect it. your computer may still think there is a problem while there isnt. give it a try. it may save you money!

Heyyy sounds like the problem im havin with my formula 350...i've narrowed it down to vacuum...with all your racing you probably blew a gasket (like i did), I still have yet to see if this fixes my problem (still putting the engine back together)...but that's what its come down to for me (same exact problem, good when cold, warms up it hesitates when I get on the gas).

I bet the shorting of the plug wire has destroyed the ignition coil, causing a intermitent spark.
