advancing the timing
I've got an 89' gt, 5 speed, cobra upper and lower, bbk headers and xpipe, 180 thermo, cai, 4.10 gears. I was thinking about advancing the timing and ive heard of many numbers i should from 12 degree's to 16 for this. Was wondering what is best for my car. thanks

Re: advancing the timing
stick with 12 on regular gas, you'll have no problems. or advance to 16 degrees and run premium (really no point tho)

it will probably come out to be about the same as stangnut said , but i just advance it a little at a time drive and repeat . When it pings under acceleration turn it back down to the previous setting this will be full advance . The quality of gas you use will vary the max advance though
