So expensive

Man a few weeks ago i got an s2000 and it cost me $120 aus and its a 1:18 scale and that not that big, and it only took me 45 minutes to assemble it! its fun yes but i think id rather buy the models that are already assembled and the shell is metal ive got a porsche gt2 and it was only $60 aus and it looks heaps better than the s2000.

Err... In that case I think you are in the wrong forum. Head over to the diecast collectors area. I have never seen a diecast that looks better than a well assembled kit. Different, with more tricky moving bits sure, but not better finished.

Re: So expensive

Where you at in Oz man? Because $120 for a 1:18th diecast (I guess it is diecast) is a rip off.

Re: So expensive

im with purpura, 120 is a rip off, even at my lhs, which is really over priced, ive never seen any diecast for that much. exept a limited run XW GTHO phase 2 model

Re: So expensive

Believe it or not, there are some diecasts that go for a few hundred that look damn good as far as details.

So if the author would like a moderator to move this to the diecast section, please let us know.

Re: So expensive

Yeah Mike I've seen some of those expensive diecasts, AutoArt and the like. While they look good on first impression, they don't stand up to closer inspection. Of course there may be better ones out there than the ones I've seen.
