Am I on th Right Track?

Please no one laugh at me or nuthin bu I plan on building up a B20 and adding boost up to 15+psi, I just had a couple questions, I made a huge list of what all I plan on buying, and doing to the motor

*Forged Pistons and Rods---New sleeves---Turbo Cams---Valve Springs---Retainers---Cam Gears---Port and Polish Head---Fuel Upgrades---B18 Crank---Hondata ECU---RC 550cc fuel injectors---walbro lph pump---fuel pressure regulator---9:1 or 9:3:1 pistons---Spark Plugs/Wires---Intake Manifold---Bigger Throttle Body---Light Weight Flywheel---Stage 3 Clutch---Balanced Block---Blueprinted Block---B18a/b manifold*

Thats my list so far, not including all the turbo stuff i gatta get, but the questions are, would I need anything else or need to change anything in that list to be able to withstand 15+psi daily driven? And im gunna use the Precision SC61 turbo. Also what Hondata chip and which ECU should I use for all of this? Ive been reading the searched forums for months now and came up with that list, please keep in mind that im only 16 and no one taught me nuthin about cars at all, I learned all myself from sittin on the computer and reading AF everyday, lol. So please dont tease me, o ya and all this is in a 1991 honda civic hatchback, so if I need to do nething besides B series mounts please lemme know thank you.

Re: Am I on th Right Track?

well you are going to need $7,000+ for all that to happen and even at that you will probably not have enough money.

Re: Am I on th Right Track?

so you think itd be cheaper just resleeving, going with 10psi, and keep the rest stock?

Re: Am I on th Right Track?

Are you sure you can afford a blueprint. It's a good set up but expensive. I'd expect to see 12's or faster.

you can boost yoru ls to 300whp, usually thats around 14psi.

with the setup you listed above, i would also recommend getting valves, an AIR intake mani, stock honda oem plug wires, 402t cams, no need for fuel pressure regulator.

but also this info changes if you plan on running over 500whp

Re: Am I on th Right Track?

well two things, I meant B20B block, not an ls. Also I asked honda-tech and they told me to re-word it so, im pretty much asking what all do I need to do to get a B20 block to around 300-350whp.

sorry about that. the b20b, well its harder to tell what the sleeves will handle because of its bore. i mean i can tell you a stock ls block will hit 300whp and the stock sleeve can handle 400whp tuned good, but the b20 might not because of its thin sleeves. i bet it could be done but i wouldnt risk it.

get the b20 resleeved and bored to 84mm. and since you only want 350whp, get the cheapest rods and pistons you can get.

but also if you want some other advice, get an ls motor because the bore on them is 81mm and the stock sleeves will handle 350whp so you wont need to spend 1,000 to get the block resleeved. but the only downside is that youll be at 81mm bore instead of 84mm bore so not as much power

Re: Am I on th Right Track?

Alright thanx, I knew this wouldnt be cheap but I want to go with the B20b because of the torque. It will take me a while to save up but thanx. Also you said I wont need a fuel pressre regulator w/a turbo setup?

yeah you wont need a fuel pressure regulator, not if your using hondata. you just need bigger injectors. while you can get more fuel by turning up the pressure, it is better to get bigger injectors and not turn up the fuel pressure.
