Nokian tires

I keep hearing more and more of Nokian Tires.
kinda like when I first heard of Kumho, I was "HUH !"

but the reviews are great.
anybody have Nokian ??

They make a snow rated tire that is suitable for summer !
seems like a great alternative...

Great Tires, but finding the right size is a problem.

Re: Nokian tires

Hi blur,
in one word, the BEST winter tires made in any country.
Hakkapeliitta tires are from Finland, where all automobile manufacturers test their cars in the winter above the arctic circle, with those tires. Now everything from Finland is called Nokia, therefore the name Nokian Tyres (yes, it is the other English).
Here is the URL http://www.nokiantyres.com/
Link to tire page for the US market [url]http://www.nokiantires.com/newsite/tires.cfm

I bought my first set 20 years ago, lasted 15. Now I got one set (with studs) for my daughter. There is just no competition, plain and simple.
Take care, Eggert

Re: Nokian tires

Hi blur,
both my Nokia tires are on passenger cars, and there used to be just one type. I got a set of steel 'winter wheels' and just keep the tires on them. Makes changeover really easy...

Please follow the link to the US site http://www.nokiantires.com/newsite/homeF.cfm
Use the vehicle selector link for your year, model, etc. It comes back with specific choices for 2WD, 4WD, etc.
There also is a dealer selector page that goes by state.
Hope this helps, take care, Eggert
