2003 dodge 1500 brake troble

Put Brakes on 2003 Dodge 1500,did fine for about 2 days,then started sqeeking,I put the non sqeeking stuff on them but still doing it,but on the 3rd day lost brakes and got a strong odor of brake fluid,but when I got it home no brake fluid lost or leaking,took brakes back off,then did them again,now sqeeking again,hope I don,t lose brakes again,hope some one can help,i can,t see anything I,ve done wrong,but there is some metal clips that the brakes ride on ,do I need to remove them,they just pop right off,Thanks for the help if possiable,
