2001 Grand prix DRL???

Hey guys, i need you're help!!!

I have this 01 Grand Prix se, the day time running lights just all of a sudden quit working on me, i've replaced the drl module and still they don't come on, but when i combine both wires that lead to the resistor pack or "funny amplifier look a like " thing they come on, could this be because this piece is messed up or is there something else i should be looking at???

All the fuses are functional, so what can it be???

HELP!
