Dunno about glasspacks (cept that they arent legal here so I couldnt use one on my car), but if you want good sound, go with a Flowmaster.

Yes, Flowmaster will give you the best sound and performance. Glasspacks will sound annoying and you will loose hp in the lower RPM range. There are a couple of cheaper alternatives to Flowmaster that have the same sound and performance, due to similar chambering, but won't last as long.

Really no reason to delete the cats anymore. The monolithic style used now are very free-flowing. I wouldn't mess with 'em.

Re: exhaust..... need input
Check Summit for a wide selection of universal performance mufflers and fitted systems. They have a "house brand" muffler that is very similar to the Flowmaster in sound and function. My friend just had a set put on his Cavalier that are real meelow at idle, but really snarl when you open it up. I'll ask him what they are. I'm pretty sure they were made by Walker.

Re: exhaust..... need input
I have found that Flowmaster is too raspy, especially if you have the LQ1.
I chose Dynomax with my 3.1 and ive been very happy with the sound.
