gt and se 3800 differences?
hi all,
i just wanna say that you guys on here rock, and if i ever have any problems with my GP this is definitely the first place i'm going. I was wondering if there were any performance differences between the SE 3800 and the gt, besides the exhaust. I also have a bit of a beef with the traction control. My mom has a 2003 mazda 6 (the 4 cyl) and whenever it rains and i can't get any tire grip from a standstill or i try to make the car slide a lil on a turn it completely shuts my revs off, stopping me from coming into any danger and also in turn killing my fun. My GP however is very delayed on enabling the traction control and will let me slide on a turn with too much freedom. Is this the way the traction control is made, or is there something wrong with my trac? It still works, just seems like a half assed attempt to stop me from killing myself. any response would be appreciated. Just bought my 99' gp se 3800 a couple months ago and i love it, but that may be because I used to drive a 93 protege::shutters:: thanks guys. |

Re: gt and se 3800 differences?
Actually, what the traction control system does is:
When your front axle, and front axle only, loses grip with the road, the TRAC system reduces power to the front axle. The system has nothing to do with gripping the road while going around turns. Trust me, I thought the same thing too. For more info on it, check it out in your owners manual. Good Luck. |

You can register at MyGMLink.com and they have your owners manual in .pdf format.
My biggest complaint with my car when it was new was the crappy ties. Your car's abiility to resist sliding is relative to the tires. |
