Clutch Sound in 04 Normal?

Hi, I'm new to this, so please bear with me. I bought an 04 Wrangler Sport, 6 cyl/5 speed and when I have the clutch out it has an odd sound. Dealer told me it is "suppose to" sound that way. He said it's the bearing. This is my 3rd Jeep and I never heard this before. It has 3600 miles. Thanks

Re: Clutch Sound in 04 Normal?

Does it go "woo woo" like a quiet owl, or maybe hydraulic noise? If so, have it replaced under warranty. Had an '02 that did that, the clutch master cylinder was bad.

If it's a little rattle, or gear noise, I think that's normal. In either case, you may want to try another dealer, or at least drive another new Wrangler to see if it makes that noise.
