block re-done with topline pistons.
well it looks like my 6bolt blocks been redone before. its .02 over already with topline pistons. not sure about the rods. the rods have G6*C on the sides. maybe there stock. i dont know. Well that puts a seed of doubt in my mind. Slowboy Racing recomends topline rebuild kits over stock. the problem is, i cant find any real specs on these pistons. my delima is, why replace a better then stock setup for no reasion. if 6bolt stock internals are good for 400-500hp. i think im good saving $900 and spending it somwhere else. damn, i dont know. ive been looking, reading, and searching for damn near 6 hours a day for over 2 weeks over this rebuild, trying to learn what i need to learn, and make the decisions that are best for my time and $. im personally getting sick of it. if theres nothing wrong with the pistons or rods, i might just get new crank, and rod bearings and call it good. Thoughts.
