noise from purge solenoid

I had a prior post concerning a noise I could not find the source. I later posted that I found the source of the noise and that it was coming from the "purge solenoid valve" that is located on the firewall rear of the engine. There was also a TSB 25-01-98 that talkes about changing the mounting of this solenoid on Durango's built before Dec 5, 1997. Well my Durango was built in mid 1998, and it looks like the mounting has already been changed. My questions are--should I be concerned about this noise coming from this solenoid ? Is it starting to fail ? Is this noice from the solenoid actually due to another device that is malfunctioning ?
The cost of another purge solenoid is about $25.00, not a big deal, but should I replace it or not ? Everything else seems OK, and the check engine light has not come on, although I only have the vehicle about one week. Many thanks for all suggestions and comments, Mike

The dealership put a shroud over the firewall mounted purge valve. It helped a little. The location is the problem.
