fuel eating issues, help plz

hi, i dont know much bout cars expect my 77 falcon keeps eating all my fuel, its a 6 cyclinder 4.1L, how can i psyhically change it so it uses less fuel? plz help as i need this asap. cheers

what is your mileage vs. specs? FI or carb? driving habits?(high speed/low speed).

Start by changing your fuel filter and Air filter. then, install new Spark plugs and wires. Check you dist. and points for rust and corr.
Change you transmission filter and then do a transmission fluid exchange at Aamco, the Dealer, Pep Boys, Advanced Auto...
Check the Tire Pressure, And Change your driving habits.
