Big Favor: 1995 LeSabre Factory Service Manual

I've got a big favor to ask.

Does anyone out there have a copy of at least Book 1 of the 1995 Buick LeSabre Factory Service Manual?

If so, would you be willing to scan, fax, or copy and mail 2-10 pages out of it for me?

I bought a copy some time ago, but it was listed wrong and is actually 1995 Buick Century (Olds Cutlass) manual. It comes in handy, because much of it is the same. However, certain things are not, and I need a copy of a couple important pages that don't match my car.

I'm also hunting the wiring diagrams related to the diagnostic connector. (Which would be in Book 2, and aren't as important at this point in time.) As the 1995 Buicks don't have an ALDL 12-pin or an OBD 16-pin. They have something in between. I'm pretty sure an OBD scanner can be connected to it, I just have to make an adapter. LOL

Thanks a million to anyone who is willing and able to help!

Re: Big Favor: 1995 LeSabre Factory Service Manual

At the moment I'm in the need of a couple pages from the part of Chapter 9 that deals with the SIR/Air Bag system. (Section 9J in the 95 Century manual.)

Apparently the DERMs differ between the 95 body types. This manual refers to a 24-pin connector, mine has a 20-pin connector.

Specifically, my Air Bag warning light is lit constantly. Thus I need what this manual calls "Chart B: 'Air Bag' Warning Lamp Comes 'On' Steady." Chart B should be a diagnostic flow chart on one page, and a DERM wiring diagram on the other page. Those two pages are what I need the most.

I'm pretty sure the SIR Diagnostic System Check is the same. (7 flashes when key is turned ON, Steady during cranking, 6 flashes after engine starts.) Same for Chart A: Derm Integrity, as long as the number of flashes are the same between these DERMs, I pretty sure the chart is the same. -- Those are the only other flow charts referenced by Chart B.

It might be nice to have copies of the wiring diagrams from Book 2, Chaper 8A that deal with the Circuit Numbers and sections referenced in Chart B. However, I don't need them right now, I expect I can trace down the shorts and open circuits without them. (Provided I have the DERM Wiring Diagram, so I know which wire to follow. LOL)

Beyond that... I would really like a copy of what this manual refers to as Book 2, Section 8A-50 dealing with the Data Link Connector. If you've seen my most recent post, you probably understand why.

All in all though, if you could provide me with Chart B, I would be a lot better off than I am now. (Rather, I would be able to proceed at all.) I'm still hoping it is just a wiring fault somewhere, somehow.

I'm extremely grateful for any help you can provide.

I'll check it out at work tomorrow, and copy a few pages and then take them home and scan them and try to get them online for you.

Manual Pages

Hi
I have a Haynes # 19020 Buick,Olds,Pontiac full size Models 1985 thru 2002 front wheel drive Repair manual.
Obviousely it's not the same as the factory manual, But it does give some wiring diagrams, and I saw some pages on SIR and DERM, I don't have a scanner but do have a digital camera, if you could give me the exact system heading I may be able to find the circuits you wanted, If the other guy can't provide it.

Re: Big Favor: 1995 LeSabre Factory Service Manual

creslevi- Unfortunately, due to the complexity of the information it is not contained within Haynes or Chilton manuals. They only information they contain is the general arming/disarming procedues for SIR systems, and wiring diagrams for headlights, taillights, starting/charging, and the basic ECM/PCM pins.

Z28- Any luck?
