I said the exact same thing when i bought my 97 sl2 (115000). I bought a cold air intake from ebay. The manufacturer is cp products and included a k&n air filter. I didn't put on the second pipe cuz it requires permanent modification to the inner fender (this is true for any cold air intake for a saturn) which I couldn't do since i didn't have a jack (have to remove the left front tire). It was about the same price as a good short ram intake (i.e. name brand) at 160.00. As a short ram it works all right but I haven't put on the other pipe yet and don't plan to so i don't know if the cold air is really effective on the car. I'm gonna be getting an AEM short ram intake in a month or so so i can use my IAT sensor again (hole for it is on other pipe). The ebay ones seem to work all right but personally I want to go with popular products and spend the extra dollar. but if you want to go for cheap, ebay is the place to go.
