Question Strange problem with 92 delta 88

Hi. I have a 1992 delta 88 with a 3.8L V6 and 120,000 miles. It's acting strange...here's the play-by-play:

The other morning it took about 5 tries to start up, but then it didn't have enough power to back up my driveway (its pretty steep). I dont think its a transmission problem-it's rebuilt maybe 15k ago. It was idling really rough.

After that it would start for just a few seconds, then die. After disconnecting the mass air flow module it ran really rough as long as I stayed on the gas. That only happened once... couldn't get it to do it again.

Now it won't even start... just cranks. I'd like to fix it without having to tow it to a shop for diagnosis, and my friend thinks that changing the Mass air flow sensor will probably work, but I want to ask your advise before I spend money. A lot of people have posted about ignition modules and fuel pumps... could it be that? Thanks in advance for any input.
