Cruise Control not Working
My 1994 Ranger cruise control failed yesterday. I have checked several things and have only found what seems to be a problem with the vacuum servo.
This unit will not hold vacuum when I use a vacuum pump on it. I would like to check the electrical signals but it is hard to do since the cruise control only works above 35 MPH. Did you find what was your problem? |

I have a 2001 for ranger manual from the factory. So i'm not shure if this will work for you. Put the key in the egnition and hold the on button on your cruise control then turn the key one position and then release the off button then you have five seconds to hit the on button. then hit resume then cost then set/accel make shure you do it in this order. For every button you hit the speed control light should flash once for every button then your gass pedal should lower the floor and pop up.
If you hit the set/accel but and the speed control light flashes 2 times you have a defective brake pedal position sensor or a bad clutch pedal positon sensor or the ciruit is defective. If your get 3 flashes brake deactivation switch is open or circuit is defective. if you get 4 flashes then Vehicle speed signal is out of range or circuit is defective. |
