What goes wrong in 1992 euro lumina

I am trying to buy a 1992 Euro Lumina but I want to know what to expect if I sink $1400 into it. It has 116,000 miles on it and I hear the head gaskets go out in these cars. If someone could tell me if it's worth the money or not or at least what I would be getting myself into, that would be great. Thanx!

I don't remember head gaskets being a problem, unless it has the 2.5 four cylinder, those had issues with broken head bolts, but I think most of those got sorted out in the first few years. If it is OK now, it probably will be for some time. But you gotta expect some surprises with anything that age/mileage.

I have gone through 2 sets of inner tie rods, there is a junk o-ring on the oil pump drive, and the rear brake calipers often freeze up. Other than that, no real common occurances. The brake problem can be prevented by setting the parking brake often, and GM now offers a much higher quality o-ring for the oil pump drive.
