transmission jerk

hi all,
i live in Nebraska, and it the summer and when ever it nice out my tranny shifts real nice, you can feel it a little but nothin major. but now that its gettin cold and crappy when i go to or from work and the cars been sittin for long periods it shifts real hard. the whole car jerks. but after about 10 minutes or so of driving, after trannys warmed, its back to normal. its done this the 3 years ive had it. (93 p71, 125k by the way) would drainin the fluid and puttin in that mercon V help? i know its probally not a bad idea since like every tranny post says to use it. i had my tranny flushed and filter changed last winter at a ford dealership. they said there wasnt no peices or shunks in the pan just the few normal small shavings. so i'll leave the filter, it should be ok. but do yall think the Mercon will work?

found this on crownvic.net,
