1994 Grand AM Blower Motor Replacement?

I need to replace my heater/AC blower motor. I noticed it says on the housing "Cut Here"

What is the easiest way to replace this?

Re: 1994 Grand AM Blower Motor Replacement?

i found a website that offers OEM GM online catalogs 24-7. had the parts shipped to my home cheaper than buying from my local dealer. www.gm-car-parts.com

Don't cut anything. The heater fan and motor should be accessable from under the dash. It usually takes three or four 6.5 mm bolts to remove. Simply drop it out and replace it with another one. Check the local wrecking yards for a used one. Got one for $25 and works like new. A word to the wise. While you are under there change the blower resistor, it is located close to the fan and may be the cause of the problem rather than the motor. Costs about $40 at a dealer.
