I notice Edelbrock sells an intake for the V6 vortec.
http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/man_sbchev.html I have a 92 Vortec CPI w-motor, and would love to get rid of the problematic injection unit. I haven't found much information on it, but has anyone on this form looked into converting it to carburetor? I realize there will have to be some workarounds (trans, ignition etc..), but does anyone have info on this? -Jer |

Re: Vortec CPI convert to---> carburetor?
No, do NOT go backwards.
These types of injection are so much better than the primitive carb. There is no "ploblematic injection unit" when compared to TBI or the new CSFI. They are from time to time have injector problems. |
