With the SL FWD's, what spline transmissions were there? a guy on ebay selling a 5-speed said that from '94 up it's 27 Spline, and first gen's are 25 spline. I have a '94, and just put in a '93 5-speed, and everything lined up correctly. Did I just get lucky and maybe get a '93.5 transmission?

all model 3/S's were 18 spline through the middle of 92. Then in the middle of 92 everything was upgraded to a 25 spline.

Re: 18 Spline. 25 Spline. 27 Spline??
The 18 spline/25 spline thing has to do TT/VR4's. The 91-92 FWD trannys were different in the size of the axles compared to 93-99. 93-99 upgraded to larger diameter axles. The only other differentce in FWD tranny's were the ATX's had different solenoids and different plug ins from 1st to second gen.
