Disable door chime?

Is there a way to disable or turn off the door chime, without messing
up any other electrical components, like power windows, locks etc.
95 S10 Blazer LS.

Ya man that works...
The noise is annnoying and would like to be able to start truck or
open door when running without the noise.

Is there a wire that can be identified and cut?
Can the box where the chime comes from be disabled?

I got a 95 LS too. What I had to do to disable mine is:

I took the switch out (obviously) and took it apart. Becareful of this. There are parts that will fall out. If I remember right. You should see 3 long metal strips inside the switch assembly. They run along the body. They provide the power from the wires to the pluner and back. I don't remember exactly which one of them, I believe the middle one, needs to be removed from the switch. Then reassmble the switch and put it back in and hook the wires back up. This will allow all the interior lights and everything to work with the exception of the door chime wont annoy the hell out of you. I feel you pain there. I hope this helps. Later man
