amber side markers

alright ive been wanting to get some for a while now. but have 2 questions...

1. where have you guys put them? i have seen some above the side moldings, and some and the very front of the moldings in place of the end cap.

2. wiring, constant one with flash only for turns? or flash only without cosntant on? its a toss up or is it legallity issues?

Re: amber side markers

well constant ones are on buses, dumptrucks, school buses, and any other large vehicle so thats obviously legal.. as for none constant that blink I want to say I've seen it on buses such as city buses but I'm not positive. I dont see what the issue would be with either way you want to wire them. Just tell the cop you wanted to be easier to see at night.

Re: amber side markers

side markers are legal but there are rules that vary state to state. If they are amber they should be fine but other colors and clear could cause problems. Also reserch this in the fourm there was a big post where poeple posted what the law stated if you can find it im sure it will be helpfull

Re: amber side markers

for most states both clear and amber side markers are legal but any other are illegal. and most people put thiers right above the side moldings on the front fenders.
