Serious Problem!!!

ok, i did a little street race with a taxi!!! (btw i did win) anyway after the race.
i noticed the gas pedel feeling a little weird, it didnt have the same resistance as it did. i thought it was nothing so i drove home, and now today i drove it a while and now i cant get her up over 3000 rpms when im in excess speeds of 30-40, i mean i can floor it and it will just stay up at 2600, it also feels VERY weird when it changes gears.
like it slows down and speeds up quickly, i dont know what i did to her! also it still has the same thing with the gas pedel, it dosnt have the same resistance still. what could be the problem?

btw its a 1991 camaro RS with a 4 speed automatic.

you might have broke the tv cable.

if you go under the hood and push the throttle on the motor does the motor rev up like normal?

Yeah check the cables on the baseplate on your throttlebody.. You might also want to check the tv cable where it goes into the tranny.. Start the car and manually open and close the throttlebody like cuda dude suggested.. Does it rev normally?

ok, there is a lil wire with a cap broken, well the cap is. and it connects to the throtel joint, and i went to autozone, they didnt know what it was called, they want me to go to the dealer for that lil part. do any of u know what im talking about? a lil wire that caps on right above the gas pedel wire?

im assuming your talkin about a steel cable and not an electrical wire? Held on by a small plastic clip?

Try to follow the cable and see where it goes.. If it goes down to the tranny, than its the TV cable, and I think if that clip is broken, you have to replace the whole TV cable.. I know I had to replace mine cuz I broke it taking it off

TV cable--(throttle valve cable) that'd have to be whats broken because it's the only cable with a plastic end.

You might be able to splice the end of a good cable in.. far enough back so the joint wouldnt interfer with anything (you'd probably have to get one from a wrecker).. I wouldnt suggest it myself.. Could break again.. or stretch and mis-adjust Keep in mind, that this cable is the basically the life line of your transmission..(next to the fluid) An improperly adjusted or broken TV cable will Really shorten the lifespan of your tranny

ok, i found out that it is the problem, and i ghetto rigged the shit outta it, it runs OKAY now but still, from what i was told. the part will cost me 42 dollars, could someone find me what the part is exactly called? thanks.
