HOLY Fu*&ing timing belt!!!!!
WOW i just got done changing my timing belt took 4 hours of trying to get the timing right. lol i now see what ppl ment about not even the dealership getting it right. i was about to just beat the living shit out of my car cause i would line everything up by the marks get the belt on the test her out ........stutter stutter....repeat marks......stutter stutter....repeat marks
 untill finally 12pm repeat....hummmmmmmmm FUK YEAH!!!!  anyone else here had that hard of a time changing thier Tbelt for the first time?

no i never did...i dont know how to....well the thing i dont know is how you get the timing right. How do you set the timing?

did you do it with the engine in the car? im going to attempt the 120k timing belt here in a couple weeks. but im going to yank the engine out for the winter so i figured it wont be to bad. how much did you spend on the belt?

NT for now till i get the knowledge and $$$$. its the 420a and it was in the car. expect to jack the motor up and down alot to get the motor mount coumpletely so you can get to the t belt and all. had to use this tool that locks the cam gears in place while putting th ebelt on and still had a bitch of a time,. runs great now though hehe

I have been told the tubos are WAY harder to do a Tbelt job on than the NAs. Or so my mechanic says.

belt
i did not have to hard of a time but i have done many timing belt changes on hondas,mitsu,and nissans which there a chain drive.good to see you got it and take your time and tripple check your marks and that everything is lined up as so in the book or on vfaq.
