"Cannot copy" error message, wtf?

I downloaded some stuff from internetdj.com and I wanted to burn a cd of it using WMP. But when I try to check the boxes to select which songs to copy, it says that they cannot be copied.

I have no idea whats going on, cuz I have downloaded stuff and made cd's from websites before. Anyone got any insights?

What file extensions are the files? Do you have other programs open while trying to copy? Try rebooting - something may still be accessing them preventing you from using them only. Are they copy protected somehow?

I rebooted, still nothing.

Here's what I get:

Must have that copy protection on them.

Check Windows Update. There was something on Microsoft's Windows Update regarding some sort of difficulty copying files with Media Player. Not sure if that'll help, but it's a start. Do you have the most up to date Media Player as well?

Also, what file types are you copying? Mp3's or something else?

Re: "Cannot copy" error message, wtf?

They all should be MP3's. Ill click yes next time the windows update thing pops up, but other than that update, it should be the most current.
