ok where do i start ? ok i was donated a 1981 300 sc turbo diesle and i'm having trouble getting the hood opened now, the hood release cable latch inside the car is broken maybe it is the wire or something. what is my next step can i disconnect the grill or something to get under the hood? at this point i just want to kill the car but any advice would be helpful at this point i'm at a lost.

find a friend with a along skinny arm and reach behind the bumper straight up behind the grille with a screw driver and pry the lever with the cable attached to it towards the direction that the cable would pull it this will pop the main latch
