remote door lock

i was wondering how i could disconnect the remote door lock on a 03 durango. my sister in law just got a new durango and it has the key chain lock thing. she always locks the truck in the drive way and theres no reason to do it. i live where noone messes with your stuff. she just does it to piss me off and thinks shes cool. so i want to find a way i can disconnect so it dont work, and one know how i can do that. please help

If you could get ahold of another fob that works with her vehicle, you could do a reprogram with that one fob (the one you have) and that would lock out all other fobs. Be careful though, if you lose it or battery dies... you will have to pay dealer to program.

Re: remote door lock

1) Why would you care if she locks her truck?
2) you could put truck in keyfob program and wipe hers out

Re: remote door lock

It would be theft if you took the battery out of the fob, but that's another way of harmlessly deactivating it.
