My chilton manual states to torque to 8 ft pounds, (11NM) in a criss cross pattern..you might want to take a 10 to 15 minute ride to warm up the trainy fluid before starting..good luck

Re: Tranny Fluid & Fliter Change

the hardest part is getting the pan off w/o dropping the exhaust. it CAN be done.....the bell housing plate has to come off (which involves creative moving of the cooler lines) and I found its easier to unbolt the tranny motor mount and jack up the rear of the tranny by the xfer case.

btw - add a drain plug. makes next change easier.

Re: Tranny Fluid & Fliter Change

Make sure you don't just dump the fluid in the pan.

You have to completely flush the system.
